Sidus Veritas

A note from the astrologer

On paying attention.

Engraving of a seated woman resting her chin on her hand, a black cat on her shoulder
Plate IV. Figure with familiar. French engraving, 1870s.

I am a linguist by training, and I came to astrology the way I came to languages: through a long apprenticeship to patterns, and to the quiet grammar by which a life makes itself legible.

Method

My readings are rooted in the Hellenistic tradition, blending ancient techniques with modern insight to bring clarity and depth to your chart.

I work with the tropical zodiac, whole-sign houses, traditional rulerships based on the seven classical planets, and the classical aspects: the conjunction, sextile, square, trine, and opposition. When relevant, I also consider the outer planets for their generational and transformative influence.

To explore timing and personal evolution, I draw on annual profections, secondary progressions, planetary transits, solar arcs, and solar return charts.

I interpret your chart using professional software and an accurate birth time, always guided by ISAR’s Code of Ethics.

What I will and won’t do

The chart is well suited to questions of timing, relationship, and the shape of a season you’re moving through. What I won’t hand you is a verdict. You’ll leave with more to think with, not less to think about.

Some questions belong elsewhere: matters of health, diagnosis, or anything that calls for a licensed professional. I’ll point you that way rather than pretend otherwise.

On the cat

The engraving here is from a French periodical of the 1870s. I keep it because the figure looks tired in the right way: attentive, slightly unimpressed, refusing to be hurried. The cat I include for its own reasons.

How a reading is made

  1. i.

    You send your birth data

Date, time, and place of birth. The time matters most.

  2. ii.

    I sit with the chart

A long morning with your chart and a strong coffee. Notes by hand. The shape of the thing first, then the parts.

  3. iii.

    Recorded in one take

No script, no edits beyond removing the cat walking across the desk. You will hear the pauses. They are part of the work.

  4. iv.

    Within seven days

An audio file and your natal chart, by email. All yours to keep.

If this sounds like the kind of attention you want.
